At Holy Trinity, our aim is for all our children to leave school with an instilled love of sport and a commitment towards living a healthy lifestyle.

PE plays a fundamental role in our children’s development and provides opportunities for all our pupils to develop their ability to listen, co- operate and act responsibly and independently.

We promote an understanding of what it is to live healthy life, provide a wide range of sports and have developed our team sports including taking part in competitions that are fun and accessible.

With two PE lessons a week and a carefully planned curriculum, our teachers deliver a wide range of sports in which the children participate. These are designed to include movement, indoor and outdoor games, swimming and cycling.

The pupils are introduced to a range of games such as cricket, hockey, football, tennis, tag rugby, gymnastics and dance as well as multi-skills and athletics. This ensures that the children are taught a variety of skills as well as introducing them to a range of sports. Furthermore, through our schools’ cluster, we arrange matches in which children can participate in exciting and competitive events.
