Remote Learning at Holy Trinity

This page relates to remote learning during periods of school closure. It was last updated in March 2021.

We are a Google Classroom school; this is our platform for remote learning during periods of school closure. Here you will find all the information you require so that you and your child can get the best use out of our remote learning platform.

We know how difficult remote learning can be for our children and families, so we aim to support you with a variety of video messages, pre-recorded lessons, engaging resources and live events. You may be out of our sight, but you are never out of our minds.

The key headlines

1. Holy Trinity's Virtual School opens at 9am and closes at 12pm.

2. Our teaching team will be available during this time to respond to comments, questions and ideas from our children using the Google Classroom 'stream'.

3. We will hold a live session every morning at 9.15am. This will be an opportunity for your child to see their friends, and listen to their class teacher explain the learning activities set for that day. These sessions will be recorded and posted on Google Classroom, so that nobody misses out. Please click here to see our Going Live Safety Guide.

3. Our children have until 3pm to 'turn in' their learning for that day.

4. Between 3pm and 4pm, our teaching team will respond to, and feedback on, all learning that has been uploaded to Google Classroom.

5. We will provide up to four hours of daily learning for your children to complete. This includes daily reading, writing and maths lessons as well as one of Science, Topic, PE, Music and RE.

We will strive to ensure an appropriate level of support and challenge is provided for all our children. We celebrate every child being unique at Holy Trinity, and we aim to reflect this in our remote learning provision.
